Chuck Nam

Principal

chuck.jpgChuck is a principal of Marketplace One and a member of the Investment Committee.

Chuck has functioned in a variety of executive roles for a diverse array of businesses whose common trait was significant change and growth. Chuck was most recently a founding principal of the Fidelis Group, a management consulting firm that helped launch and grow various businesses in the technology and services sector.

Prior to that, he was a senior executive at ScoreBoard, Inc., an early-stage wireless software company that was ultimately acquired by Andrew Corporation in 2003. During the launch and stabilization phase of ScoreBoard, he served in a myriad of capacities as acting CFO, VP of Operations and Planning, and VP of Business Development (all reporting to the CEO).

Chuck also served as president and chief executive officer for a $50 million construction manufacturing and services company in Northern California undergoing a major ‘turn-around effort.’

With The Thomson Corporation, a $6 billion multinational conglomerate, Chuck was Senior VP and CFO of its technology division. He managed day-to-day financial operations and group-level oversight for a company that grew to over 500 employees spanning six domestic and international locations.

Chuck has served on numerous corporate and charitable Boards. In addition to being a CPA, Chuck received his Bachelors degree in Finance from the University of Maryland and completed executive education from the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD) in Paris.

Chuck and his wife Ashley have four children.
