Marketplace One supported the inaugural Conference on Economic Prosperity in Tirana, Albania.  This conference, held December 3-6, 2008, gave Dr. Wayne Grudem and Dr. Barry Asmus the opportunity to present a paper entitled, 50 Factors Within Nations That Lead To Sustained Economic Growth or Continual Poverty.  The conference was opened by Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who provided a recent history on the nation’s transition from a closed communist system to a growing free-market economy.

The attending audience included business, civic and religious leaders in the greater Tirana area, as well as members of government.  The MPOne team spent the week meeting with individuals representing possible private equity investments across a broad spectrum of industries.
